Steps to create a relaxing shower ritual

After a stressful day at the office, concentrating for long periods of time or feeling exhausted from meetings, you might feel completely drained. One of the best ways to relax is to take a shower. The next time that you feel tired and need a boost of energy, give yourself the most relaxing shower you have ever had. A nice hot shower can help you de-stress and promote better sleep. So, close the bathroom door, dim the lights, put on some relaxing music, and wash the stress away.

Here are the steps to help you create a relaxing shower.

1. Don’t do your relaxing shower before you go out.  It is best to shower just before going to bed or before settling down for the evening. It will make you feel so much better. After your shower you can relax in bed.


2. Make sure that your bathroom is tidy, clean, and smells wonderful. Use some lemon grass or vanilla candles to refresh the air. Clean your bathroom before taking the shower, so you can feel in complete harmony. Hang a little sprig of eucalyptus from the shower head. It helps to make the whole bathroom smell great.


3. Treat yourself with a product that makes your skin softer.

4. Don’t forget about incorporating music. Soft music is very relaxing and can set and main-tain your mood.


5. Make sure you have a nice clean towel close by.  

6. Notice your breath. Focus all of your attention on your breath. Notice the temperature of the air as you breathe in and out. Break free from the stress of the day.
